The first group of white Afrikaners granted refugee status by the United States government has departed South Africa (SA), arriving in Washington this morning following their overnight flight from OR Tambo International Airport. Sam Busa, Founder of the grassroots organisation Amerikaners, has defended the reasons behind their relocation, arguing that the current political climate has forced them to seek refuge elsewhere.
