We have witnessed two striking testaments to the positive impact of the American commentator Charlie Kirk’s remarkable life, which was tragically cut short last week. First, the deluge of sympathy, condolences, tributes and appreciation from around the world from all with working moral compasses and a healthy sense of justice and truth. Second, the jubilation from some of the most evil, disgusting people in every society, including South Africa. C.S. Lewis wrote, “My hope is that when I die, all of hell rejoices that I am out of the fight.”
