America is creating millionaires faster than anywhere else. About 1 in every 10 American adults is a USD millionaire.
What that means numerically:
– U.S. population ≈ 348 million
– U.S. millionaires ≈ 23.8–24 million
– Ratio ≈ 6.9% of the total population
– When looking at adults only, it rounds to roughly 1 in 10–11 adults
UBS context (latest):
– The U.S. has ~40% of all millionaires globally
– The U.S. added ~379,000 new millionaires in 2024 alone
– That’s 1,000+ new millionaires per day
So when people say “In America, one in ten is a millionaire”, it’s not hype — it’s statistically defensible, especially when framed around adults rather than total population.
The American Dream is still very much alive
